Item Management

Use the Item Management section to define and maintain all product-related data used throughout the eCatalog and punchout applications. This includes organizing items into categories, defining units of measure, managing manufacturer information, and configuring item properties used for searching, filtering, and pricing.

Item Management forms the foundation of the catalog structure and should be configured before assigning items to catalogs, customers, or pricing rules.

Available actions

Manage Item Categories
Create and maintain the hierarchical category structure used to organize items within the catalog. Categories and their properties are also used to drive search facets and navigation in the punch-out eCatalog.

Manage Items
Create and maintain individual items, including item details, descriptions, categories, properties, and associations used across catalogs and pricing.

Manage Master Properties
Define reusable item properties that can be assigned to categories and items. These properties are used for search indexing, filtering, and display in the eCatalog.

Manage Manufacturers
Manage manufacturer records associated with items for reporting, filtering, and reference purposes.
